MUV Fitness Forest Acres

We changed credit card and we are going there almost once per week. They didn't tell us that they needed to update the credit card... they preferred to charge 23.50 dollars of penalty and send a mail. Well, let's hope they use this money to pay a decent cleaning service....considering how filthy are the locking rooms with pee on the floors, dusty cabinets and bad looking showers. I remain with this gym just because my trainer is really good. That's it.

I have had a great experience at MUV. I joined here a few months ago and have been training with Corey each week. It’s been so helpful! I began with a very outdated (cough, almost 20 years, cough) knowledge of the basics in the weight room and Corey has helped me learn technique, get motivated, and even dream a little about my fitness goals. Very thankful for this trajectory shifting chapter of my personal health and looking forward to keeping on at MUV!

They are one of the better gyms in the area but they don't try to gather unique equipment or even some standard equipment. You will get the basic leg press or hack squat. There are 3 squat racks so if you plan to not hit the busy times you'll be alright. It's generally kept clean and all of the equipment is in good order or serviced when needing repair. Limited mirrors in the free-weight area also. Plenty of cardio equipment as well. Daycare can be finicky as they might send the attendant home early if no children show up in a timely fashion, or the attendant might be sick and once again no daycare.

Great selection of equipment and easy parking. Friendly staff and nice perks in the building like massage, InBody machine, chiropractor, etc. Gets pretty crowded but people move around pretty well and machines and benches and racks always come open within 5-10 minutes. Nitpicking for the staff - the bathrooms and locker rooms are pretty smelly. That’s to be expected for a gym this busy, but I’ve been in cleaner ones. Nitpicking for clientele - a great number of attendees at this gym lack basic gym etiquette. Expect to move 45-lb plates to get to 10-pounders and vice versa. Very few folks put weights in the right spot and there’s not a system in place to reallocate them throughout the gym at the end of a shift so be prepared to do some farmers carries. Also, expect to pick up wet wipes that people just leave laying on the floor for some reason.

MUV Fitness is a great place to be. All of the people there treat you well and with respect. The gym is convenient and Hass all the equipment needed. Everything is also wiped down. I would recommend this place to everyone.
